Valid point, I usually go to UT for both my and the wife's work...also for vacation. That's why I have a UT permit. Too bad UT doesn't have reciprocity here in CA.

I like having the actual State's license in hand.

Having a different license, legality aside, is less complicated when it comes to police contact and firearms. That's just the reality of it on the street.

Great tip. Many thanks!

Anybody interested in joining an early a.m. private class w/ John for renewal, on a weekday in late Oct. / early Nov.?
Early November works for me, that's when I was thinking of going, mine expires in Late April and the weather is not that good. I was thinking of the first or second week in Nov which gets me just inside my 6 months. Is the non-resident permit going to 5 years soon? Also as far as the weekend goes, the SO is only open for CCW's M-F. no weekends.
