Default Easy Culver City PD fingerprint visit

8 AM to 3 PM, M-F.
May cut off sometime after 1 PM if too many are waiting.
My experience:
I walked into the station on Duquesne at 2:50 PM Monday with FL and UT cards, all information neatly printed in the boxes as indicated, except not signature (as instructed).
I stated I had two cards for which I needed fingerprints placed, and asked if someone could help.
A youngster stated the fee was $30.
I handed him two $20's and he returned them, reminding me the fee was $30 exactly, if I wanted to pay cash.
I got change, he took cash, handed me receipt.
He asked for identification, noted it in the log, asked me to complete cards (including signatures), stamped agency and location on the back of each card in the upper right hand corner.
He brought out printing board and ink, executed the printing, directed me to soap and water to wash, and we all left at 3 PM.
No tension, no weirdness, no muss, no fuss.
Assessment of CCPD personnel: friendly & efficient.
FL and UT apps now ready for posting

Default Fingerprint experience similar in OC

My UT / FL fingerprint was a little friendlier at So County SD in OC. The fingerprinter was intrigued about the CCW process, wanted to get his own, but even though he was a Sheriff Deputy, he felt that his position was not looked upon as GC enough for an approval. I did not proffer any opinion, other than he should log on to this forum and begin the process if he really wanted it .... I happened to have an extra CalCCW.com card in my car, retrieved it and left it with him. Hopefully he made it to the sight and has aquired CCW....

I was surprised as to the lack of information that the local deputies have as to CCW availability for them. Maybe he just didn't listen during that part of training, or else the training is too caught up in procedures of regular process that they do not cover off-duty options.

Wow, old school ink and paper.

When I was at at BCI in UT, they had that huge machine where you placed your fingerprints on to a glass and it scanned your prints. I didn't need to wash up or anything, all the staff member had was wipes.

Good luck.

Thanks G-Dawg®!

Culver City does do the machine thing, but I wanted to keep it as simple as possible, coming to them with everything done but the ink.

Besides, they charge less for ink, and there's less to go wrong.

They use live scan only for in state. All out of state uses Blue line cards.

Good to know - thank you for the correction!

I still go by the rest of my posting though: the easier you can make it to provide a service, the more likely transaction will happen.
This is especially important to me when I am the customer!
