The outcome was good. I don't know that his actions would be praised if the bank robber really had an explosive device and used it because of this intervention.

Knowing nothing about the guy's training with the Lebanese army, I'm glad for the good outcome... However offering his CCW for photography seems like incredibly bad judgement to me.
