Anyway, good news is that I should have it within the next day or so.

Thanks to all for the input.

Cool! you should have it today or even Monday at the latest.

I'm too busy to search for the thread, but I remember someone posting a link to a Utah CCW web page.

On the page they posted some thing close to:

"We are processing out of state applicatioin recieved on xx/xx/xx"
"We are processiong in state applications received on xx/xx/xx."

That may not be the exact wording,,, but the info was there.

Utah Department of Public Safety - Bureau of Criminal Identification

I don't see on their site anymore about the backlog dates as RickR mentioned. (maybe they removed that)

only says "We are processing applications within 60 days as required by law."

My turn for an update.
I sent my application in on 3/22.
They charged my card on 4/4
I just received my permit today, (lucky friday the 13th).
That puts it at 70 days from charging my card.

Nice card too, credit card type with a sort of halogram of what looks like a beehive and a sheriff's badge.

I have a resident Colo CHL. I'm getting the non-res Utah, even though Utah does recognize Colo's CHL, because I like to go to Mesquite & Las Vegas, NV a couple times a year and NV does not recognize Colo's but they do recognize Utah's. There are also a couple more states which recognize Utah's than do Colo's.

Thanks for the information. I'm going to Colorado next week and cannot carry there, although I believe concealed carry in/on a vehicle is legal.

If you may lawfully possess a handgun, you may carry it loaded in any private mode of transportation on any public road in Colorado regardless of whether or not you have a CCW or whether or not you are a resident. Including but not limited to the City of Denver or any school zone.

I hope you enjoy your trip.

Congratulations, the wait is finally over.

How many days did it take? Others will want to know.
