makes it a little hard to conceal. One idiot screws up and this happens? This is the best solution? Whatever!

No, the stupid holster was the cause of the ND - not a response to the ND.

The stupid holster was a response to the fact that TSA didn't want pilots to be armed, and congress made them do it anyway, so they put down regulations to make it as inconvenient as possible. Sort of the bureauocratic equivalent of a two-year-olds temper tantrum.

I think that the writer has quite a number of good points anyone carrying on a daily basis could assimilate!. That is the only reason I chose to post that here, as I found this article generally very educational. I do not even know who the author is.
As to TSA, that is another story. That one has been obviously settled by their track record! No need to even elaborate on that issue.
Further more, I categorically deny having anything to do with them!
