Default Just got AZ CCW

Came in mail today. Very nice, white, glossy and shiny. Although only good in AZ and other reciprocity states I'm still happy. All the info from calccw helped and educated me to attain start of this qualification. Ultimately my cal ccw is still a priority of course, but this is a start and the qualification process in az was very straight forward and i received excellent instruction. Thats all I know for now. thanks ccw.

Thanks. I would have however this was most advantageous for me and it was fun. Maybe UT will be next before Cali.

AZ is now honored by 25 other states. Not a bad permit to have, good for 5 years, no training for renewal necessary.

I think its great that you got it, but out of curiosity, what are the advantages? I can't find any; less states and Utah covers all of them.

Default AZ CCW Process

Lets see Gun safety training, state information on CCW/rules/laws/paperwork, then range shooting 12 hits centermass at 5 10 and 15 any weapon you want to use/ handguns, eat snack, then 25 question test, easy/common sense for that states laws mostly, which protect you way better than Cali, then sign off on qual sheet, fingerprints, then congrats and after 8 hours out the door. About 3 weeks later envelope in the mail. It was sort of like getting your tax refund or something.

Yup, same with UT...but without range time.

So how was the weather in AZ?

Utah does not require range time. Any good Utah instructor will. I will not sign off until I see them shoot.

SNACKS? YOU GOT SNACKS? Tell Greg he needs to up his hospitality.

Good job on AZ approval. I was considering that one before I found out I was able to get CA CCW. Any extra certification will be helpfull down the line. My .02 worth.

I moved here from AZ and still have my permit there and plan to continue renewing it. Just be careful when you CCW in Arizona, tons of places are off-limits. You won't lose your AZ permit over it but I'd imagine getting cited for carrying where it isn't allowed (restaurants for example) might jeopardize your chances for approval in CA.

Default ccw az

Thanks. Weather was good, process was very simple, I had fun. Above all can't wait to get back try virtually any weapon in the range, totally cool..

Yeah just like cali, you have to careful where u go or just don't carry when u drink.. not worth the embarrasement or hassle of getting your ccw card pulled.
