Both he and I would be the Owner/Managers and think that we should get CCW permits. What do you think our odds of getting CCW permit is? Both of us are law abiding citizens with no arrests/felonies/misdemeanors, ( I do have a few speeding tickets though). Can anyone help me?

Welcome to CalCCW!

Please do not share your personal Good Cause in the open forum. This is for your own protection and privacy.

You can email CCWI at greg@firearmstraining.com for assistance on evaluating your GC.

MAGANZO, I'm not certain what your issuing authority might accept as Good Cause or what their issuing policies are, but you should avoid posting in this public forum. Your GC needs to be something that speaks to "What makes you more at risk than the average citizen?"

When you get to the point where you've gotten all of your application together and need some help "cleaning up" your GC statement (not writing on for you), ask for one of the well versed here to go over it for you. They will be happy to do that.

Magonzo:

You may have received a private message from admin explaining why your post was audtited. But if not, you should know this:

Please do not post your good cause statement. Each persons good cause is personal and unique to them and needs to stay private.

Your best bet is to read through the forum including the FAQ's for your specific county. Spend some time reviewing the process and learn as much as you can about your county. Then, work on your good cause.

Once you're to that point, you can ask for help and prolly get it.

Please, do not post your good cause.

You asked about tickets. Traffic tickets can work against you. In OC, DMV records are checked. Too many tickets and/or tickets for violations which may indicate the applicant is less then responsible, will be reason to deny the CCW application. The good news is, traffic tickets do eventully go away...

Good luck with the process, and welcome to the forum.

BTW, Simi Valley is in Ventura County, right? If I am correct, you stand a chance, depending on the rest of the details all being in order.
