Default Which non resident CCW should I get?

I've been reading a lot on here about people with CCWs in Utah, Florida, or various other states. Taking all things into consideration (cost, ease of getting one, number of other states it's valid in, etc) if you had to pick just one state to get a non resident CCW in, what would it be? In particular, I would want the permit to be valid in NV, AZ and OR (if that's even possible). Could you guys tell me the pros and cons of the different non resident CCWs that are fairly easily accessable to Californians? Thanks.

Well that can get expensive! You might want FL and UT, they seem to give the most value for the cost and trouble.

What am I looking at for total cost of getting both of those permits? Also, is there a good instructor you guys could recommend I take my class from in the Bay Area? If not, then I would be willing to drive to Sac if need be.

Also, I can't seem to find that link that says what states permits are good where.

Default New Hampshire

New Hampshire was easy, $20 and a copy of a valid CCW. Good only if you got one.

I do a lot of business in AZ, NV and UT. Just recently my wife took a job that is UT-based. Therefore, a UT CCW is what I applied for. Reciprocity is great.

Like others said, it depends where you go and how often you go.

if i remember correctly, FL and UT permits cover almost all of the same states. UT does not cover FL, and a couple of other states out on the east coast that FL may cover.

That's why i only got the UT one. Someone correct me if i am wrong please.

I'll probably just get the Utah one then. I travel to NV and AZ pretty often. It's too bad it doesn't cover Oregon though because I'm up there all the time visiting my grandpa.

What am I looking at in terms of total cost for a Utah permit? Including the course I have to take?

Last time I checked, they both give you 27 states. All the same states except Florida gives you Florida and Pennsylvania and Utah gives you Minnesota and Washington.

I have both... Im letting FL expire as its a PITA to renew every half a decade or so and doesnt give me the bang for the buck that it used to (When I first got them WAY back, the differences were much more significant I think) Now Utah pretty much goes everywhere I do.

If you can, get UT & FL .... I consider it may become a part of "the well regulated Militia" statement once SCOTUS is done with the 2nd Ammendment interpretation this June... (my opinion only)

Any extra certifications always help .... I have kept my Commercial Driver's License, Motorcycle etc.... even though I haven't driven either for a few years.

Contact the UT BCI and you'll get the details.

$65+ application and some extra $$$ for prints and passport photo...and don't forget to get a certified CCW course. I know a guy.
