Default CA CCW permit#

I noticed on my other state CCW permits (UT, NV, FL..), there is a specific permit/license number that has been assigned to me.
Does our CA CCW license have something similar? On my two previous CA CCW, there was a hand-written REC#, but they were different for each one.. also, my current license does not have a REC#. There is a "CII#" that is consistent on my CA licenses, but thought maybe it has something to do with my Local issueing agency, which was also consistent.

I don't know what numbers are on a CA CCW permit, but your CII number is a number assinged to you by the California DOJ and it stands for Criminal identification and information and anyone that applys for a CCW, Real Estate License, Medical License, etc or has a criminal record has a CII number issued to them by the CA DOJ.

To my knowledge, the CII# is given to you by DOJ the first time you are fingerprinted. It is like a file# for you and they use it to track you. If you were to be arrested (knock on wood) and get fingerprinted, that number would appear on your RAP sheet, along with an FBI#. It stays with you 'til the dinosaurs come home.

I think that is how your CA CCW is tracked, not through an actual permit#. That way if you move or let it expired and later get another, there isn't different numbers. It's either valid or not.

On the Rap sheet... an applicant is listed as an "applicant only"... but it has been a few years since I paid attention to applicant only rap's...

The CII number is issued by the FBI. No, your permit does not have a ID number.

Yeah, I was a Livescan Instructor for 3.5 years. Pretty positive that it is a CA DOJ assigned number. +2

I forgot what system I run the CI# in. You can still run it thru NCIC too.
