just spoke with a pleasant lady for UT BCI....I have a deilvery comfirmation of them accepting the packet on 3/5/08, check is still not cashed so I called them she said " i know this sounds crazy, but our mail goes to the state capital first, then it comes to us, sometimes it gets hung up there for weeks, I have no record of recieving your paper work, please call back in a few days and let see if we get it by then. If not then we will have to do some digging"

What's the link where you can see if UT has cashed your check, etc?

Utah just charged my card yesterday.

About two weeks after I mailed the packet. As long as I get it before summer I will be stoked.

Strike my early note ... UT Check was cashed Feb 25th ... I expect another 3 weeks. I did however receive my Charles Bronson certified FL permit yesterday ... I look like a convict!

FL cashed check on Feb 10th.... received CCW 3-24-08
UT cashed check on 2-25 .. expect after April 15th .... if earlier, then i be happy.

I just mailed my Utah application this afternoon.
Thanks to this website I had all the information needed to get it done.
I took my class last week, and got my passport photo lastnight.
Now the wait.

ok, just got off of the phone with a real nice lady again....very bad news...I sent my packet in and I have confirmation of them getting it on 3/4/08 check has not been cashed, they just enter me into the system on 3/21/08. She said "count 50 days from the 21st and call us back if you dont have it by then" I think she could tell I was a bit shocked, so she said "dear, we are just now working on permits recieved February 4th, so it could be a while "

It does take quite awhile. I was almost at day 50 before mine came in. It seems like they have cycles... some people, depending on the weather, barometric pressure, and season, receive their's between 30-40 days... others, a little after. I guess patience is a virtue. But a Utah ccw is worth the wait, especially when traveling.

I am going to start the process for the Utah CCW. My question is how do you take the ccw course for Utah? I saw something about online? Can you do it online?
