B]DOES ANYONE KNOW IF ALL THE COURTS HAVE THIS ON-LINE" AVAILABLITY TO LOOK UP TICKETS AND CASES, LIKE ORANGE COUNTY, ETC.? THANK YOU FOR LETTTING ME KNOW. IT IS NICE TO KNOW WHAT MIGHT BE ON "RECORD" IN COUNTIES THAT WE HAVE LIVED IN.[/b][/quote] Well, it's been a while since this was posted, but I don't see an answer. The answer is no. Many, but not all courts are on line. Some courts that are mostly on line may not have traffic cites. One county I just dealt with last week only maintains traffic court records by case number (not cite number in that county) after the fine is paid. And policies re: what is posted, and for how long, vary. There is no consistency. And that does not mean that the actual case is destroyed, or that there's another, private index that will still reflect it. The only way to know for sure is with an on-site search in the courts, and a search of DMV records. To find out what courts are on line, go to: California County Courts On Line For DMV records, go to: DMV and Your Information As in all things, be totally honest, and do exactly what the instructions tell you. |

i have a similar issue, i have 3 tickets within the past 3 years, all for speeding.
however they all show as dismissed. In actuality, i paid one, one was dismissed at trial for officer no show, and one was dismissed when i wrote a letter because ticket was largely erroneous (incorrect car make/type and CVC cited). how big of a deal is this? |

I'd say that he still got 3 tickets... but only one conviction out of it. I'd say "disclose the tickets and their dispo".
