I'm good to go with this! Following on the heels of yesterday's momentous decison in Heller, I think it is time that our Sheriff supported our right to self defense. I'm just sorry that it will take another 2.5 years before we have a Sheriff who feels that way.

Jay's got a "Donate" button on the lower right of his website front page.

La Suer was specifically recruited by the local NRA members council. He comes to this race not just as a friend of the 2nd but as a committed advocate of the 2nd. He's proven it in his years on La Mesa City Council (we lived there then) and while in the State Legislature.

My personal 3 pt. action plan.

1. Keep looking for ways to get the word out.

I posted in the last couple weeks on other forums about Jay. Also to the guns and hunters mail lists at my work (big lists).

Roger Hedgecock is on board and is promoting La Suer & CCW on his radio show. That's a big on OUR team. Yee-hah.

2. Bookmark his website.

Jay LaSuer for San Diego Sheriff

3. Donate:
Besides getting the word out, we need to put some of our own skin in the game. I have done so and will continue to do so on payday regularly. Amazingly got a hand written thank you card with in a week...

4. (make that a 4 pt plan!):
I forgot the most important thing -- PRAY!

Heck, Gadget. I'm bummed Colorado doesn't recognize my CA, UT or FL permit!

We do need national reciprocity. But sometimes in CA it feels like we're trying to hold back the tide with a teaspoon.

LOL it seems that our 2nd amendment rights are being short changed by a lot of scardy cats that don't realise the majority of gun violence is caused by illegal guns that will never stop even if all guns were banned

The majority of gun violence is not caused by ILLEGAL GUNS,,,, it is caused by CRIMINALS using illegal guns.

Hope you don't mind but we should try to keep the semantics good. Your idea is in the right direction though.
