Default Gun Control Poll by Fox LA

I know this is not really CCW... but in light of VT... our rights maybe effected as well.

Fox LA is doing a poll on if you want more gun control or not in lieu of VT shooting... GO VOTE!

Suprisingly... Polls are going in the direction that LESS GUN CONTROL is better!

The Fox Poll...
73.88% for LESS GUN CONTROL
7.84% AGAINST GUN CONTROL
18.28% No change needed

MSABC Poll...
71% FOR CCW
29% more gun control

I'm SHOCKED!! in a good way!

This is blowing me away. I can't get over how many of the polls are overwhelmingly for lessening gun restrictions.

This deserves a happy banana dance

The circumstances this time around shed a new light. A nut chaining in a bunch of helpless students "circumstances out of their control" and shooting ducks in a barrel, I think/hope has opened peoples eyes a bit.

Not to mention the bill that had recently been quashed on CCW in Virginia colleges. We need to keep getting the word out on that fact. This is as bad as it gets....but at the same time as good as its ever going to get.

It might feel like we are taking advantage of a TERRIBLE situation. But I personally justify it by the fact I do NOT want to ever see this happen again! IMO it without a doubt will happen again, unless our ideas are adopted.

Oh...Playing devils advocate just a little. The pro forums are hitting the polls very hard. Of course I am sure the other side is doing the same. So maybe the is a genuine up swelling or change of sentiment on the topic. I sincerely hope so.

Here's another poll from SFgate... same results!

SF Gate: News and Information for the San Francisco Bay Area

58% for more CCW
22% for more gun control
3% better campus security
16% none of the above

I hope these poll are accurate... but like Bono said... these #'s may be biased as calguns and other pro gun sites are hitting these polls pretty hard. But glad to see progunners banding together!

Yeah, but at the very least, it will force the issue to be discussed. Those polls don't show who's voting...it will cause them to examine existing evidence and we know that statistics back our fight.

I had the same reaction. Every poll I have seen, even the local news poll, have all been in favor of fewer restrictions.

Keep in mind that all of these polls are posted on all of the gun forums. We "gun nuts" are real good about visiting all of these polls and voting.

The Brady bunch doesn't have that kind of dynamic.

Michelle Malkin's point about self-defense, let's have more of it, may be where people are beginning to go.

Friend of mine thought it time to learn to shoot after two guys were found shot to death about a mile from her house. Not what you would call a real enthusiast, but she definitely didn't like the "helpless victim" role.

The evidence about "shall issue" being a positive thing is piling up. Despite votes like SF's handgun ban, maybe enough people are enraged about people who shoot kids, and the total inadequacy of "gun-free"zones to deter anything, that they are wanting to see psychos cut down. The Trolley Square situation had all the potential of VT, but little of the outcome.

If even Harry Reid is cautioning against gun control as a solution for this kind of stuff, a new dynamic has to be afoot.

Or...gun control lefties don't read, listen or read the news...I'm amazed that every news page has this poll. Isn't that interesting? 2 out of 3 of them I've visited have already stopped allowing voting because the numbers didn't go their way.

Like I said, doesn't matter who's voting, they can't tell...and it forces people to look at the facts.
