Buying an out-of-state gun

I found a PocketLite in MA that I was interested in buying. The dealer called and wanted to make sure it was CA legal before he shipped it. I was wondering what it needs to be CA legal. Since they discontinued the gun they have been hard to come by. I want to add it to my CCW if I can have it here. Some help would be just great.

Sorry Rod - isn't on the list... You can only purchase one if it is already in CA.

I know where some might be (bought new in CA before they stopped making them/ before the safety test nonsense), but they go for a premium due to the fact that they are CA legal.
