Default El Dorado County CCW

Hey Folks,

Just finished my refresher class Sat. 09/2008
Some changes for renewal in El Dorado County, you requalify with one of the calibers/guns on your permit. You must show that you can use, operate & shoot your carry weapon. Shot about 30 rounds & about 4 hrs of going over laws and Deadly Force. You have to make a appointment now at the sheriffs office to renew your permit, so call make appt first, they will not do anything with you or your permit if you just show up. Take my word for it.....
Something new that the sheriff has added. They are looking at permits that are over 10 years or more older, and you must be interviewed to see if the need for your CCW permit is still valid, if not they will not renew it.
If you filed that you owned a business in the county 20 years ago and you do not have that business any longer, away goes your permit, unless you can prove due cause to keep it.

I have one thing to ask if anyone with powers over the fathers of the El Dorado Rod & Gun Club is that they could look in to putting some bleacher to sit in, sitting for 5 hours is a little over the top. And not next to the porta-potty's.

Who did you take your class from?

Did they cover in depth and run it professionally?

Hey guys,

I took my renewal course through Sierra Firearms Training. We had 2 instrs.
1 was Peter Koch who the laws and the up-dates to the law & Richard Placillo
(sorry **** if I mispelled your last name) who handled the actually shooting end of it. I lot of the stuff covered is the same stuff that is covered each time you renew your permit. We shot first for the people that was just requaling, then we had the lecture after. We shot 24 rounds at 5 yards & then moved out to 7 yards & put 12 more down range & that was it for the people that already had, had there permits and just requaling for renewing there permit. The class for new permit people was alot longer & intense.
If you could put all 36 rounds on the paper and keep them inside the 7 ring and could show that you could handle your weapon correctlly, you passed the course of fire and had to listen to the lectuce.

I've been taking my classes from Peter for years & Have had Richard as an instructor in college courses P.C. 832 classes at the college in Placerville.
Richard has been a very good sheriff for the county of El Dorado for many years & a great instructor for the college for years too.

Hope this helps you guys,
here is Sierra Firearms Training web site address: Sierra Firearms Training - CCW Courses

if you have any questions you can call Peter, he will help you in anyway he can, he's a cool guy too. just not as OLD as ****, & ****'s wife likes Peter, she feeds him very good !!!!!
Had to throw that in **** or Peter if you are watching,,,,,

Software automaticly does that, not the mods.
