My renewal date is the end of march and I have been getting my requirements together. I guess I am fortunate in the fact all I need is my annual re-qualification and a renewal training class. Both of those are complete. My next step is to go in one to two weeks before expiration with 2 checks, one for DOJ $52, one for town $25 and my training cert. Chris said turn around time is about a week.
This is what was explained to me a couple of weeks ago by Chris and I was stoked that I will not have to go through the whole process again. Bless the MLPD for keeping it easy and reasonable. spc |

Mine is due for renewal once again, in early April. I have scheduled my range time, and we have a Humboldt County Sheriff's Office CCW Renewal Sheet (2 pages) for up here. Then pay my $75.00 to the Humboldt County Sheriff's Office, and wait about 2 weeks. For changing my home address within the county - it took a renewal application, proof of new address, and I was issued a *DUPLICATE* license.
I am not changing any of my three listed weapons, or I would have to schedule a visit with the Sheriff's Captain, to verify the serial number of weapons, etc..

Maybe this would be a good "sticky" topic for FAQ's on the "applying in OC" section of the forum? Or simply an addition to the current "how to" from cowbell with the different costs/needs/timeframe may be appropriate?
It seems there are many folks coming up on a renewal in 08 that could benefit from this info? Just a newbie's 2 cents.... ![]() |
