Default CCW class other than at Evan's?

Ok, so I know I have yet to officially turn in my application (waiting on some letters from my employer and letters of recommendation) but I like to plan ahead . I understand there's "a guy" who teaches a CCW class at Evan's but due to some recent revelations, I have decided not to give Evan's any of my business if I can avoid it so I have to ask-- are there any good classes out there BESIDES at Evan's?

You won't be giving Evan's any business by taking the OCSD CCW required class, you will be giving CCWI the business. I am 100% sure, CCWI ONLY teaches at Evan's now.

Sorry to hear you have "heard" things so that is why you are against the place. if you don't mind explaining, would you PM me please. I have had only postive experiences and have been there AT LEAST once a week, this year alone.

Good luck on your CCW endeaver and it was nice to meet you at the Gun Show last month

-Mike

FTA would be a great choice for their OC approved CCW class. I've taken it along with many other classes from Bill Murphy over there. They are a great company to deal with.

I don't push me my own class class on this Forum.

I DON"T APPRECIATE AN INTRUCTOR OF FTA IS PUSHING FTA CLASSES WITHOUT DICLOSING THAT. YOU EITHER BE HONEST AND DISCLOSE YOU WORK FOR FTA OR STOP POSTING.

DO YOU READ ME LOAD AND CLEAR?

AMS MIKE is correct, you are not giving them any business. They won't make a dime offf you if you take a CCW class.

Default Warning.

Let's keep this thread civil. Staff will be keeping an eye on it. 2 things. It's OK for someone to have an opinion regarding who the do or don't want to give business to. Also, if you are affiliated with a business it is against site policy to push said business without consent from site management.

Sorry to offer an alternative of training based on my experience as a student. I will continue to still believe in free market and free speech. I am sorry if you feel differently.

There is no such thing as Free Speech on an internet board. The rules are set up by those that brought the board into existence.

Your first post in this thread was an understandable mistake apparently based on misunderstanding.

Your latest post shows you care to do nothing but piss on the floor of this board. The true signature of a looser.

Your right, my reply was a bit tempered by the high caps and red text. I'm not employed by any school and it just seemed like CCWI was upset at a suggesstion of an alternative training source such as the op of this thread was asking about. I do understand that people who own the boards get to make up their own set of operating rules.

I am sure CCWI provides fine training as stated by so many here. I have not yet had the experience of training with him and thus have not commented about it here.

I don't mean to upset those in charge here and if mentioning other sources of information is forbidden, then I'll cease doing so.

We welcome information, and opinion, from all sources. We expect - in fact, we demand - transparency. If you are associated with a business that you promote (or are associated with the competitor of a business you denigrate) we expect that you will be up front about who and what you are.

If you are simply a student of FTA, it is appropriate that you comment on your experience there. I took my first CCW class with Bill myself, and it was fine.

But if you are an instructor or an assistant with their classes, it is not appropriate that you comment on them without disclosing that association.
