congrats on the CCW and home support.

I cast another vote for the surefire lights, specifically the G2 LED. Moderately priced, practically sized and excellent illumination inside 15 ft. Only drawback is slight bluish colored bias from the LED but you get used to it. Shining in your face, it doesn't matter, it is still bright. It has replaced my surefire incandescent lamps.

Its a Super White bulb that is 4300kelvins so it will have a slight hint of blue (just like HID headlights)

I think the beam color is the coolest part of the flashlight

Congratulations on getting your CCW!!!

As far as lights are concerned, I am also a big fan of Surefire Lights. I use a 9P Defender with a 200 Lumen bulb predominantly. With two extra magazines it offsets the weight of my Custom CDP on the offside of a shoulder holster very nicely.

I also carry a Kimber Ultra IWB at 4:00 o'clock but my primary carry rig both on and off duty is now a Galco Miami Classic II with a UCII Ammo/Light Carrier.

With a volume discount, agency discount, and a GSA discount it turned out to be pretty economical. The fact that it is also very comfortable and conceals well under a sport coat or suit also make the Galco MCII with UCII quite popular among many of my fellow officers.

Sorry about the partial hijack of the thread. Any of the 6 or 9 volt Surefires should serve you well.

Congratulations again on geting your CCW.

Thanks,

I guess that I'm the odd ball of the group. I carry a little fenix D1 at 125 lumens. About the size of my thumb . . . cute little thing . . . the fenix, not my thumb.

I've been meaning to buy a Fenex. Since 2001 I've had a Leatherman and an ARC flashlight at all times.
