Default Petition to remove ban from National Parks
Please sign this petition to remove ban from national parks. If this is posted else where - then feel free to delete or move.

Please post this on other gun related forums. Let's get the word out and have a few thousand people sign this.

Removal of prohibition on firearms on National Park and Fish and Wildlife Federal lands. Petition

#871. Funny. When this issue came up some time back, the chief of NPS responded to the request with a letter that said, among other things, "the national parks are safe." I've done a lot of work in national parks. Did you know that Yosemite NP has a jail? With tenants? And jailers? And a federal court? And a federal prosecutor? and a federal public defender? And all those people don't spend their time sitting on their laurels.

Granted that most people who are sentenced to jail time are transported to another facility, but it is possible that you could go to Yosemite, commit a crime, be arrested, tried, convicted, and do your time, all without leaving the park boundary.
