CLOSE friends, and family is all I tell about the CCW.
My sister was very opposed to firearms, especially in her house when I first told her anout the CCW. She was pregnant and told me that when the baby is born, I had better not bring a gun into her house. But since the baby was born, when I visited at first I told her that I forgot to stow the piece, and for some reason, she no longer cared, just shrugged it off. Now it's no big deal at all to her. On the other hand, I learned my lesson on who to tell with a business associate. He was looking for armed security w/ CCW, so I told him I in fact have a CCW and was interested. I did not get the job from him, but after that he would tell anyone around, "This guy has a CCW!".  I no longer associate with him...

Our house backs up to Bogg's Forest, about 4000 acres.
When my daughter started dating, I would ask the young man if he could run faster then 1200 feet per second! I would also remind him there's 4000 acres out back and they would never find him, if she's not home on time and in the same shape she left.
