Default Its all a matter of where you live.

Getting a CCW in the more populated areas of California is tough but if you live in one of the rural northern counties its a piece of cake. I know that in Butte Co. they might as well have a deputy standing on the street corner pass'm them out!! I live in San Joaquin Co. and while I've never really checked into it I'm sure its pretty much a no-go here.

Come on chief... it ain't that easy. Still have to go through the same process as everywhere else. Yes it is quicker. My wife is gonna do hers after the 1st of the year and its more than triple of what it originally cost me. Last I checked it takes 30-60 days to get one here. When I got mine it was less than 2 weeks.

Well... not too sure what this is about. This is your idea of contributing to this group?

That happens quite often. People don't have a clue. They assume they can't get a CCW so they give up before they even try. And then they wine about how tough things are.

Well actually, Sutter, Yuba, and a number of others are much easier. You should go to the sheriff's department in your county and inquire. You will find as a group we are more about doing than talking. Good luck should you decide that you are ready to take on this responsibility and do what needs to be done to achieve it.
