Default CA. CCW. history
Yesterday while cleaning out a dresser drawer I found my very first California CCW. permit. Issued in September of 1987 by the Mendocino County Sheriff.

Got me wondering in what year did California begin to issue CCW. permits?

A Google search got me nowhere. Anyone know?

I don't know when California started the permit program. I know that in the early sixties my dad had one issued by the Mendocino sheriff.
