Congrats to you huna koa. I am still anxiously awaiting for mines. Does the livescan process really take up to 60 days? Had mine's done Sept. 25 and I am counting the days.

Default 60 days?

you must be referring to the whole process of livescan in conjunction with FBI & DOJ background check. Yes that process takes about 60 days or more depending upon when they submit it and how long it takes for the proper authorities to verify and reply[and I believe it's done snail mail because they need and keep it for their files at the SBSD]. Yes, I think they have records/hard copies on each one of us in their offices. Please note that I'm inferring/pre-supposing; someone else in the know would have more concrete info. I do know they gather as much info as possible not only from your references but from people who are recommended by the folks you have on your app. Hang tight; if you are of good character and morales with good cause you will probably get it ... patience ... patience ... and ????? And I've heard it's easier to obtain in OC; I'm in San Bernardino County; and I was told SB was pro CCW.

Not trying to threadjack but don't really want to start a political corona thread....

with all the success that OC is having with CCW do you see that changing with the possibility of a new Sheriff?

We are not talking about. If it happens, we will then talk about it.

I had my fingerprints done on Halloween, and due to my excessively worn fingertips had a lot of time to talk with the tech.

She said the actual livescan is only three days, the rest of the wait is waiting for other agencies.

Default while I was waiting ...

I joined IDPA and got annual membership at a local gun range and practiced and practiced and practiced and practiced some more. And now that I have my permit I'm practicing some more and have learned how to reload as the 45 ACP ammo for my Kimber & HK gets a little expensive; but I think it's well worth it. Good luck and good patience once again as you wait for your permits ...[and practice while you're waiting, you'll appreciate your license even more when you get it.]
