Default Weapons inspection question

I just had my weapons inspected today. One of the weapons inspected was a Kahr PM9 which I only brought the 6 round mag and the inspector notated the 6 round capacity. My Kahr PM9 also comes with a 7 round manufacture mag. My question is, later on when I CCW can I carry the 7 round mag as an extra backup mag or am I going against what is documented? I could easily buy an extra 6 round mag from Kahr but I was just curious if I could do this or not. Please advise.

The magazine wasn't the item being inspected, per se. The license doesn't indicate magazine capacity. If it is a legal magazine, you should be fine. Just be aware that some larger capacity magazines can be harder to conceal, due to the extended base. In your case, the Kahr PM9, probably won't give you that problem.

Yeah, don't worry about the mag capacity - that's not what they're worried about.

Lots of people carry the standard size mag in the gun and the +1 or +2 as the spare mag, myself included.
