Default Arizona CCW

Anyone have an Arizona CCW or know of the regs for one? I was wanting to know how many weapons you can have on an Arizona CCW. I've tried to locate this info online but no luck.

I just renewed my AZ. permit this summer. I am not aware of any limit on firearms for carry.

The process is very simple and price ($65) is quite reasonable. The informtion here should get you started.

I just received a pm from hygyliac and responded. I appreciate all the help. I am planning a move to Arizona in the near future and I want to get all the info I can on the CCW process so as soon as I find a house there I can start the process.

No firearm is listed on a Arizona permit. You can carry any gun you legally own. You can actually carry other goodies, too. It's called a Concealed Weapons Permit. Gun is one kind. There are others.

:

You may be able to start the process as a non-res and then have the permit changed with an address change when you move.

It might be worth asking.

Been offline for a few days ... just got this now.

As someone else said, get a permit now as there is no difference between a non-resident vs. resident permit other than your address. That way you'll have it in hand and only need to mail in a change-of-address form.

Also, Arizona's permit is a true "weapons" permit vs. just a firearms permit. It allows you to carry *any* weapon except nunchaku. Meaning if you own a machine gun (and you can in AZ as long as your record is squeaky-clean including your driving record) you can carry it concealed ... lol

One FYI - Arizona's carry laws are far more restrictive than those of us fortunate enough to have a CA CCW enjoy. But you'll learn all that in class. I took mine at Scottsdale Gun Club and it was excellent, unless someone locally is an AZ instructor. The turnaround is very fast, it was less than 2 weeks from class to receiving my permit in the mail.

Ther Arizona class has to be taken in the state of Arizona. No exceptions I am aware off. Phoenix is 4 to 5 hours depending on traffic, so is Lake Havasu City. Both have places that offer classes weekly. AZ is a GREAT state for gunsluts. Call Southwest Guns in LHC. They are good people.

So I'm taking a stab in the dark that Arizona doesnt require a good cause to get a CCW like California does. Plus I think I'll go into Phoenix as thats where my girlfriend lives and I can stay with her and my stepson as well as visit with them while I go through the class.

Shall-issue my friend. No good cause. Just a clean record.
