I have one of these that I am very happy with. They are pricey but worth the cost, in my opinion. You can probably get a better price than MSRP if you look around though. You can read more about them at the following URL:

(Gun Vault - San Bernardino, CA) GunVault, Safe and Armed in Seconds! - Mini Vault Standard

I have also attached a couple pictures as well.

Thanks,

Thanks,
+1. I love mine. It eats up batteries but other than that it's great.

Default Best deal anywhere El cheapo - the DAC ATV2003

Here is my recommendation.

DAC ATV2003

Reasons:
1) California DOJ approved
2) Has the electronic combo-lock of other safes
3) Available at WalMart for $59.95
4) If you choose the "Ship-to-Store" option you avoid shipping costs

For the cost of a single standard gunvault you can get TWO DACs.

I paid a total of 119.47 for two safes. One is mounted on my gunlocker at home and the other is in my car.

I can't speak to durability since I've only had them 4 months. They can be a PITA to program (custom combination, turn off sound, etc) but it works great.

That is a really sweet deal for the price. I might get one since I have 2 CCW guns and can use that box to swap them out as need be rather than the main safe.
