It shouldn't cost more than a few hundred dollars to do so.

In other words I don't have to wait 5 years. Most likely 1-2 years. This is for anyone who is in a similar situation that I am in.

Btw this doesn't mean I have a 100% shot. I still have to enter this information on the application.

Perhaps. But do you honestly think your local Sheriff will buy it? Think long and hard on this. A CCW. denial on your record is not something to scoff at.

In any case, let us know how it goes for you.

BUT the original record will still be there and available to Law Enforcement. Yes it will show to the "outside" world that it is not guilty or whatever but the Law Enforcement will see the original violation, the orignal sentencing and so on....

Where would a sealed juvenile case be listed? Are you confusing the expungement with a sealed juvi case? Two different animals.

If I were you I would do the expungement. LE will still see it, but your probation will cease at that point, thus making you eligible to apply for your CCW.

If your background is otherwise clean, I say you have a 50-50 shot. The DUI in and of itself will not disqualify you, but they might want more time since the incident.

Like I stated before, the Sheriff's Dept hires deputies after 4 years have lapsed on a DUI, so you shouldn't be held to any higher standard.

Yeah definitely. I am going to wait those 4 years, I've already waited 2. In the mean time I am going to do the above, it's not just for the CCW. Thanks everyone.
