CenterX,

OC is interesting, the "must declare" might seem a little restrictive, but they have a VERY high issuance rate there. Their Sheriff is DEFINATELY squared away and a very good friend to law abiding gun folks.

See.....I see a pattern here.....shooting at the range has a nerve calming effect, the boys are itching for "RANGE DAY", because it relaxes them. They are at their best afterwards, shortage of ammo and all!

It's sad that you all have such tight requirements in OC.
Yet I've heard that a traffic violation is enough to not get a permit renewed in some counties. The rational, "Must obey all laws of the state of CA." as noted on the application form.
You all take care in OC.
Moving infractions do not factor in. Lack of common sense does. 15 to 20 get pulled a year. Misdemeanor and felony stupid, plus failure to pass the attitude test when dealing with Law Enforcement are the big three. failure to keep the gun concealed is number 4.

I haven't seen one that was pulled that wasn't unwarranted. The restrictions are not bad here. You do need common sense though.

Heh ... that's exactly what my girlfriend tells me ... she always wants me to go to the range for an hour anytime I'm in a bad mood because I come back with a big smile and the attitude that all is well with the world
