Where you live has a great deal to do with HOW you live. Take a major city, like San Francisco, the local authorities expect you to rely on their services. Then you have say, the outskirts of Redding or Chico, the local LE expect you to take care of yourself when necessary.

To the OP, like stated before, yes, this is CA and they can deny you for any reason they see fit.

Thank you, glad to be here. As far as tickets, I myself have had three in th last three years.

Uh-ohhhhhh. I can see the armchair cops lining up to tell you to slow down. Seriously though, three in as many years doesn't bode well for you as far as CCW is concerned. That just might be a little on the wrong side of good judgement/law abiding for the issuing authority. Judging from what I have heard and read, one or MAYBE two wouldn't hurt too bad if the GC was solid. Three....????
