Default Did My Interview, WooHoo!!

Well everybody, I had my interview the other day. And I have to say it went very well. What a nice, informative, professional, group of people (SBSD). I was so nervous about the interview part. But there was nothing really to be nervous about. Great Department to deal with, very happy I live in San Bernardino Co. Super cool experience. I have to say for anyone that hasn't got to that step yet, and you're nervous about it, RELAX! It is a very easy process. I enjoyed it very much actually.

They told me I was being put on the August range class at Glen Helen. They didn't have a date for me yet, but it's in August for sure. They also told me to make sure my BI Questionaires that are being sent out to my references, be sent back immediately, the sooner the better on this one folks. So, I went ahead and let everybody know that they're on their way.

Total time frame I was given before my permit would be issued was 1 to 3 months, depending on a few variables. Most likely right around 2 months they said. They also said they didn't see anything there that would prevent the Sheriff from issuing me my permit. Everything looked solid. How exciting I can't wait to go to Wally World for some nachos.

Now I get to play the waiting game. I want to say thanks again to CCWI, The Gimper, X-ffdo, and RickD6023 all for helping me out and pointing me in the right direction. You guys rock I will continue to keep everyone updated as I progress through the process.

Way to go fmlyguy!

From personal experience, the calendar seems to freeze once you have completed the class. Rest assured that you are well on your way to a nacho feast at the local Wally World.

Rick, your so right about the frozen calendar. LOL I am looking for the rice paper in the next 2 weeks. I took the class on 6-20 and was told BI was complete the week before that.

It's the dangling carrot on a stick - just out of reach! I was told that mine was pending the neighborhood check that was scheduled that day (for three months). Time stands still but eventually the mail arrives.

I have my interview later this month. I'm interested in knowing, how long was your interview?

The process has changed a little since I had my interview. Mine was just over 2 hours from arrival to departure. I completed my Livescan and photo at that time as well as chatting with the BI. The actual interview portion was about an hour.

Holy smokes...an HOUR! What could they possibly cover over an hour? Did that include your pedigree back to the Mayflower, DNA testing, and a rectal exam?

The BI read the entire application to me while discussing each topic. We also chatted a bit.

My actual interview was about 45 mins. My total time there from arrival to departure was about 1 hr. 45 mins. Not bad at all.

My time with the BI was 15 to 20 minuets tops. The rest of the time was paperwork. I didn't do the live scan at interview either. When they called and told me back ground check was completed they asked me to go out for the live scan.
