That's a real bummer. As a side note, Both Arizona and Utah recognize the California CCW Permit as valid in their states don't they?

I just recently received my NV CCW Permit. I went there to visit in-laws and went to the class, then the fingerprinting place for fingerprinting, backround check, and to turn in the application and paid the fee. 31 days later received my permit. There is no difference between resident and non-resident permits anymore. they are the same and are good for 5 years. At least that's what my permit says and i'm a non-resident of NV. I took the class at the beginning of May and received it the beginning of June. I'm also not a "legal" resident of California since I claim legal residency of Indiana. Which is were I lived till I was 19 and joined the Coast Guard. But i'm still applying for a CA permit since i have a California DL and address.

Just one more to add to the stack I guess.

Wife gets a trip to vegas, I get a ccw.. I don't think that'll be a hard sell.

Have there been any problems with Utah or Florida licensed visitors?
So what Florida extended to 7 years. Is that really "substantial"?
Any concern for the tourist industry during this economic downturn?
Don't they care about their unprecedented unemployment rates at many of their casinos?

Are they the least bit interested in public comment before they enact this nonsense?

Default Send complaint to Nevada

I have sent a complaint to the state of NV asking them to reconsider this change. Here is the link if you want to join in and send them an e-mail: Nevada Department of Public Safety - Records and Technology

Has anybody actually seen an official notice from Nevada on this? I am on their website and if it is there I am not seeing it.

There are none.

Currently, NV honors...
AK, AR, FL, LA, MI, MO, NE, TN and UT.
Only FL and UT issue non-resident permits.

With the removal of FL and UT, there will be no non-resident permits from other states that will be honored by NV.

Therefore, if you are not a resident of one the states (AK, AR, LA, MI, MO, NE, TN) that NV honors, you will need to get a NV non-resident permit, in order to carry concealed in NV.

CA will not allow then access to the CCW database.

Even if NV was allowed access (to CLETS?) I still don't think we'd qualify for them to recognnize our permits.

Something to the effect of 'the state regulation must be substantially similar or more strict' then Nevada's requirements. NV requires Live Fire - CA doesn't.
