There are a number of members (ChrisG and REJM come to mind) that were initially denied and then after receiving help from CCWInstructor and other members of this board appealed and were granted CCW's. You are in good hands. If you do have a valid GC, your background has no problems and you are HONEST on your application you should have no problem. Good luck

SPC. YOU DA MAN!
Yep, We did it the hard way, so it is appreciated now that we have some help available. The ultimate decision, even when you have a good GC and a clean background, is truly out of our hands.

The best decision I made was getting off my butt and filling out and submitting the application. I fretted over it for years to no avail.

You will never know if you do not try and that just takes action.

Now that I have mine I am here to encourage others because I believe in the 2nd.

Yes you can, if your talking about a background. Peace Officers fill out FI cards. They have been known to get people in trouble. They also run you through the FBI database too.If you not talking about a BG check. Yes, lack of a good cause will get you denied.

Default Approved for further processing

So, let me get this straight, even though i have been approved for further processing, scanned and payed fee's, I can still get denied for insufficient good cause statement.

Once you are approved for further processing, that means they accepted your good cause. You can still be denied because of the background check / fingerprint check.

True, poor wording on my part. If your good cause is good, you get processed

I consider myself damn lucky I made it past the sheriff on my own and without advice. Even though I did, I wish I would have known Greg was available for consultation...would have taken a lot of the guesswork out of my application.
