The gas, water, and electrical bill will reflect the physical address of service in addition to your mailing address.
Remember the sheriff dept. has to work within budgetary confines. Some do better than others.
Ditto up here in Mammoth Lakes.

Mail to PO Box.

Shipping to physical address.

Now I recall that I took a copy of the title of my property, and tax bill. They looked at it closely, did not keep it.
They took a lot of notes.

My reductio is trying to show that the solution is never to pass more laws while we are having trouble enforcing (or even understanding) the ones on the books right now. If something works, let's not opt for a more inconvenient option.
Exactly. Connecticut does a physical residence check where an officer must actually come to your house to make sure you live there. I'm guessing that's why it takes 6 months to get a permit in CT. That's the last thing we need here.

So as i understand it, some people deliberately obfuscate their actual physical address, by using P.O. Box instead of listing the real physical address. Then, they are able to be even more stealthy because NO utilities or recurring services are put in their name at any physical address--so all the government knows about them is a P.O. Box, and NOW they are complaining, that they cant verify their physical residence as being in California???

You should have thought of that possibility when you were being so careful and stealthy in the past, might be time to start changing some things in your life, and climb out of that post office box you have been living in all these years!

And I am NOT directing this to people who use rural post offices, where a PO Box is standard, but people who have deliberately hidden their real physical location.

If by the age when you are eligible and ready to get a CCW you have NO physical address, that means NO utilities AT ALL? Not even cable TV? No jury summons notice? No voter registration documents? No tax bill? No paycheck stubs? No vehicle registration? No tax return with a physical address? No bank account statements? ??????

If all the above is true, and nobody can verify where you REALLY PHYSICALLY LIVE, then I for one dont want you having a CCW!!! That is just my opinion, and not necessarily the opinion of the rest of the forum members, but get real, forget about a CCW for now.
