So, I guess #6 is same as #4 isn't it?

No it's not.

#4 puts him in proximity to possible danger for no reason other then to protect property which can be replaced. If there is a fear of lacking "self protection" then he is too close. Drive a mile away and wait until dispatch says the area is secure.

I see the point.
Somehow he endanger himself with #1 to #5 which is unnecessary.
Should not be involved till scene will be secure.

Just like if it fire and nobody in house, let fire fighter handle it and do not try to use your garden hose with fire fighter.
It not only endanger myself , I may be distract firefighters also.
Stay behind line.

I've never had to respond burglary alarm and I've never had to think how to react for it.
it was good case study to know.

rather I often had experience with my own car alarm go off on my own drive way at 02:00 every night.
They were tough. My neighbor saw them duck in to bush one night, I saw their car (cab) took off on the other night, But they kept coming back for 7 nights.

I don't get it. Wasn't he on his own property? I thought you were allowed to carry on your own property without a permit.

He put a loaded gun, (without a CCW) in his WAISTBAND, then drove to the business, then told the police about his carrying said loaded gun, (without a CCW). The guy was an idiot, clear and simple--he was NOT in danger of his life, he broke the law, then bragged about it to the police, just to name a few stupid moves he made. Maybe he was ignorant of the law (no excuse), and maybe he was just going to claim it was justified, either way, he screwed up.

Unfortunately, this is probably a common scenario for some people.

So the only law that he broke was illegally transporting the gun, right? What if he put it in his trunk and then loaded it and put it into his waistband when he got there, would that be ok?

So are you allowed to carry on your own property or not? Your short post only confuses me even more.

HooHoo, a business owner can CCW INSIDE his business, not while walking up to his business. He must finish transporting the gun legally INTO his business before he can then carry within the business. Same as you from your trunk to your. You can't CCW without a permit from the curb to the home. This has been discussed on other forums before, and there are exceptions, but the general rule is that there is no CCW on private property outside of the home/business.

I've taken my pistol to an alarm scene before. I literally lived across the street from my father's property and I was set as a contact in case the alarm went off. Little did I know that I was the sole person the company was supposed to contact, after informing me that the alarm had been tripped they asked me if I wanted them to call the police. So I was first on scene and very likely showed up when the purps would have been there.

No I did not have the weapon on me and no the weapon was not locked and loaded.

Can a Bar owner carry w/in their business? I know a CCW in a establishment that is for primarily selling onsale alchohol is a nono, but wht about a business owner with a CCW and without a CCW? Also, is it the liquor license type that dictates it- Restaurant/Bar vs Bar?

Yes type 46,47 and type 48 sets the tone. Bottom line, are people under the age of 21 allowed. If you yes, ccw. If no, you got a bar, no ccw.
