Default Windy Day

Got caught for the first time in high winds -- I didn't have my dress shirt tucked in around my iwb like usual, just casual with a loose bowling style shirt. I'm sure I looked weird with my right arm glued to my side.

Just something to get used to.

Had taht problem on the way home Monday - a real dust storm from Tracy to Stockton. Got out to get gas and a drink - tucked the right corner of my shirtail inside my pocket, under between the knife and the pocket. Worked great. I looked a little like an old lady with her dress caught in her panties, but oh well...

Try sewing some weights into the front corners of your shirts.

Why not go all the way....make them magnetic and click them together as you stroll.

Default Maybe too late to post but...

Someone mentioned that a few strips of well placed velcro worked fine for windy and non windy days. Easy to sew and place on shirt and pant.

I see 1Buba all the time walking around the UH with his dress tucked in his panties. I just pretend I don't know him.

Use a prop as an excuse to hold your cover garment in place.

I stopped for fuel and lunch in Chico on Wednesday this week. It was very windy. I find managing an untucked camp-style shirt reasonably easy while fueling up. It’s more of a challenge while walking out in the open. I had to walk across a major intersection to get to a deli. I grabbed a folder/binder out of my cab and carried it in a way that held my shirt in place. Sat down, had lunch, scribbled a few notes as I retrieved voice mail, and left in the same manner I arrived. I could have just as easily used a folded newspaper, computer bag, shrunken head, etc…

Better that than toilet paper hanging out.
