Sorry, no attaboys from me on this one.
Haha, I don't expect any attaboys.

I didn't say I wasn't on my way to the station. After I found my way out of a small residential area this all started in, I headed for the station and the suspect was stopped by police. The station was about 3 miles away in heavy traffic, and the police made it to the incident before we could even get close.

Unfortunately, who knows what else this guy would have tried to take me down by the time we made it there.

Obviously you're not going to get out and make yourself even more vulnerable.

What most people seem to be saying is that the way you reacted to that threat (specifically leading this guy around town/ wrong side of the road stuff) was not the right way to handle it.
I did lead him around town. Unfortunately, stopping and not leading him around is one step away from getting out and putting up my hands. That leads to my legs getting crushed in between two cars, or him taking a few shots at me.

The wrong side of the road part of this happened at the very end of the incident. I was not going to get blocked in by traffic ahead of us, and there was only one way out. It was the opposing lanes, but there was no traffic oncoming at the moment and it was done safely to avoid a confrontation.

Someone please lock this thread.

Without giving away my job and my good cause, there's no point in discussing this further.

Let me see if I understand this. You were being aggressively followed by a car after leaving a parking lot. You took evasive action, while on the phone to the cops.

You didn't drive to the nearest PD, understandable most of the time I'm on the road I don't have a clue where the PD is.

You did what you felt reasonable at the time.

This same kind of action happened down at the jewelry mart quite a bit a few years ago. At least one person was murdered after making it to Pasadena I believe.

Good on ya buddy.
