I should have included a smiley! My comment was mostly light hearted, well, except for the trusting many of the people here part. That I meant!

Sure, there are always single women hanging around the range

Years ago standing in line at the supermarket I (stupidly) picked up a woman's magazine a leafed through an article called "10 great places to meet great guys." It listed things like the supermarket, at the gym, on the train, the beach, a club, at work...

I keep thinking I'll write a new one. The shooting range, concourse d'elegance, NASCAR race, NBA basketball game, golf course, flying lessons, cigar club. Places that the other single women AREN'T.

I don't inform my family members, (except my wife)-- they are all vegan, tree hugging, yogurt chugging, gun-hating, liberals.

If your family is of the liberal persuasion, I would suggest just keeping your trap shut, if they are a bunch of redneck, gun wielding, animal grilling, conservative folks, then ease into the conversation before you spill your guts over the whole thing--some people get really twitchy about the whole issue of YOU packing heat at their family gatherings. You can always tell them more later, but you cannot take your words back once you tell them all about it. Just my 2 cents...worth every penny you paid for it too!

Query:

1) why date women who are afraid of guns? what is the point...

2) reference query 1

Warning:
When my wife and I started dating, I owned an indoor range...correction it owned me... so it wasn't an issue... didn't force it on her, just lead (pun intended) her along until now she is my partner in our business (firearms instruction) and in fact is a bigger draw for clients than I am... take it slow and only date potential spouses who have an open mind toward guns, you know, civil rights (the right to defend myself kinda civil rights) rights like life liberty and the pursuit of reloading supplies...but I digress...

So... start with civil rights.... yeah that's the ticket

Liberals are just potential conservatives waiting to be converted...My sister in law was very nervous at family gatherings... there is an antique buffet at my mom's house where we all stack our guns at christmas etc.... until she was in a store during a gang shooting... at the mall... made a believer outa her real fast... and it only cost Bakersfield one dead gang-banger and two other bangers life in prison... sweet!

You need to ask Female Instructor that question. She doesn't go to her brothers house anymore. And he owns guns too!
