Default Reaction Time...

We recently reolcated our office to a less prestigious area where we ocassionally get solicitors that walk through our door. Most of them are polite and stand near the reception area and just ask us a few questions to try and see if we have any interest. My entire office is not large about 900 sq ft... So yesterday we get this younger asian guy who as soon as he walks in immediatley heads towards my business partners desk. He wasn't running, but walking at a very fast pace. I immediatley seized him up and could relatively tell he was not a BG, but it really made me think... He ended up about 6 inches from my business partners face which is way to close in my opinion!!!! Had this been an actual BG it would have been close! My desk is about 24 feet from the door, but by the time I realized the situation he was already half the distance to me! Probably a good exercie for people to do because you don't really realize how fast things can happen. Even at 24 feet with someone walking at a relatively fast pace...

A waist-high wall enclosure for a "reception" area goes a long way to distinguish BGs from GGs.

We are getting the traveling salespeople in our office a lot more lately too. It is disturbing on how pushy some can be...

He was looking for donations... Why he thought we would give some stranger with no afiliation a donation is beyound me. Also I was on the phone with a client and he even had the nerve to walk right up to me while I was on the phone.

This is my office door which is the 1st thing seen by the main door in the showroom.

Solicitors usually see it and leave.

Ha-ha that is great. Wish we could put something like that up here. Most of the people that come through our door are 50+ though and they might not like it so much...
