That story sounds pretty crazy. I just find it hard to believe that this didn't make it to the news. You thwarted an attempted kidnapping by your ex by cracking her skull open while she was dressed like a ninja with pepper spray, stun gun, hand cuffs, and other stuff on her. Yet, this wasn't picked up by anyone?

She apparantly didn't plan this very well if she decided to kidnap your daughter while you were home. Attacking someone in the security field that has nine inches on her doesn't sound very smart to me.

Noone was more surprised than I was. They were calling it "the ninja case" in the courthouse and I thought for sure there would be some press coverage. What do you want to bet that if she had succeeded, there would have been coverage.

I had thought that I was just an incidental target in the way of her primary target but in a subsequent interview with a psychologist she made an admission that she went there specifically to confront me. That certainly sheds more light on her intentions.

I agree that it was a stupid plan. We were married when I had attemded PC 832 Reserve Officer Training. She also knew that I had taken some trainiing in Bok Fu Do and JKD. She knew that I had firearms as well. Even with all of that she could have made better use of the weapons she had. If she had used slightly different tactics and id she would have better leveraged the initial ambush there is a good chance that she would have succeeded. If she had transitioned to an improvised weapon from the garage there is a good chance she would have succeeded too.

She planned it well but her implementation fell apart. It unraveled when I began to close with her on my terms. The head strike was the final monkey wrench for her because I'm sure that she never expected the resistance that she got. After that any plan she did have became even more disorganized.

I'm glad she didn't just simply have a gun.

I heard Dwight Shrute was a master of Bok Fu Do. But he never came face to face with a ninja...
