Cool Dewayne And Ccwinstuctor...and "little-ol Us!!!"

WOW! HOW "HUMBLING!!!" NEVER SHOW UP "EARLY" AT "GREG'S PLACE!"

After a wonderful "Class Instruction" that I had, with my wife joining in, we learned that my wife's firearm was not the proper one, so we took "CCWInstructor's" advice, and bought one that would fit her hand properly. TODAY, when we went to do the "registration," we showed up a little too "early," and even though I saw the door was open, there still was a very large "blockage" in the hall! Wow! I am glad we did not try to physically push "that one" open!
(Yeah...right)! HOWEVER, after a very timid "Excuse Us," we were granted "entrance," and greeted by the nicest, courteous, and most admirable gentleman..."DeWayne..." YES! The "same DeWayne" as in O.C.S.D. Armory..."DeWayne!" What knowledge! Between DeWayne and Greg and the information and attention they both gave my wife, I will be surprised if my wife ever asks me another questions relating to "Firearms!" DeWayne examined her new firearm and talked with Greg about how my wife would best benefit from additional training at the range before just "putting it under her bed!" Me and my "big mouth," and they both showed just as much "interest" in "chewing me out," for disassembling my new Kimber CDP 2, without having first "READ THE MANUAL!"
( I felt like I was having one of those "first time Armory Inspections," yet it was "holiday weekend."

In the long run, I really appreciated DeWayne being with CCWInstructor today, especially with my wife along! They really make quite a "team," (but only on your "side" if you want to learn...like doing it the "right way" by reading the manual first)!!!! DeWayne may have an "imposing figure," but you could not meet a more knowledgable, gentle, and informative man...(other than CCWInstructor..of course)! Oh...I now know what to expect when I have my "CCW add on inspection" next Tuesday with DeWayne, as my initial "inspection" was with Lawrence, who also greeted "clean firearms" with a "smile!"

Dewayne and his Daughter came to visit and pick up a Glock 22 cut-away. They are getting ready to train to everybody on their new pistol and needed a demo gun.

I had a great experience with DeWayne at my inspection. He was very cordial and friendly and it was an overall pleasant experience. And it was cool to be in the room with him surrounded by all the toys

Thanks. Can't wait. I played with a CZ75 cut-away many years ago. The machining on the cuts was awesome. The factories put in a lot of time and effort to create these training tools. I can sureley apreciate that.

EAGER TO LEARN, BEING PATIENT WHILE THEY FINISH UP "PAID" BUSINESS AT THE RANGE "BELOW," POLITE COMMENTS, AND LISTENING TO WHAT GREG SAYS...WILL REALLY OPEN THOSE "DOORS!"

What a pleasant experience, and a real "learning curve" for me! DeWayne spent about ten (10) minutes explaining the whole operational works of the Glock 23, with the "cut-a-way" he received from Greg, and all this knowing that I do not own one, but if only for me to be able to safely handle one in the future, or show others about it at the range!

A little "off-subject," is that DeWayne is working with a Doctor who is attending to a Terminally Ill Young Cancer Patient Please ask him what you can do, should you ever get the chance to see him personally. He has a "Heart" as large as his great personality!
