Unfortunately, it is probably incidents like this that eventually cause Sheriff's to list schools as restricted areas in some counties. I'm sure they don't appreciate calls from angry, concerned parents of school children. Afterall, re-election may be around the corner.
Probably thought he was off duty LEO of some kind.

Quality holster and dressing around your CCW is a must.

I actually give those kids an A+ for making you. Bad luck for you but interesting someone there had situation awareness.

I don't know how they can get away with a restriction on school carry when the law specifically allows you to carry on school property via exemption. If so, then that must be fought. A school or board doesn't have the authority to obey or disobey the law as it is written.

maybe if it was a private school...

The restriction mentioned would be the one some Sheriffs impose, not the schools. That is the Sheriff's prerogative under the current system.

So was it printing or was it visable? Either way and as folks have said dress around the CCW and look in the mirror to find out if it prints or is visable and move around stretching and so forth to find this out. I would love to have a TT gunleather but the wait is 3-4 months. I know it is worth it though.

A couple of questions that might add to the discussion:

Where you sitting on Bleachers?

Sitting on bleachers with an IWB and using like a t-shirt to cover is a very difficult situation in which to hide a gun. simply because it is almost impossible to sit up straight.. we might all try but eventually we bend over and the gun butt sticks out...

What sort of IWB were you carrying?

There are some local guys who make kydex holsters. They are really good holsters for what they are but they have only a single attachment point and the butt does not get tucked in...which makes for a pretty fast draw by the way... just a bit harder to hide...I find holsters with a single attachment point to present more difficulties in hiding the gun. The TT with it's sparksian dual attachment point tends to pull the butt of the gun in and hide it better.

I have been to several of my sons basketball games over the last month and It is tough on bleachers because of the position you sit. I solved it by sitting in the top row of the bleachers so nobody can sit behind me.

Yes I was sitting on the bleachers about 3 rows up from bottom.I did not go to the top because there was a walkway behind the bleachers. They were only about 5 or 6 tiers high.

I was using a Galco model RG250 IWB It has two belt loops and does ride higher that the Galco I carry the glock in.
I was wearing some Levi's 501'sand a black button up shirt that has some gray grid like pattern on it.The shirt goes un tucked and is a long style from the big and tall section at JC Penny.I wore it's brown counterpart to Pismo today and carried the Glock 27 with NO issues as usual.I'm scared off of the Sig til I get a better holster that fits My body better.

Valley gun does carry them and I met with one of the guys for several hours one day talking about a rear clip to pull the butt back....not sure if they make one...

By the manner of speech they sound like gangsta types...improve your concealment, keep carrying, and pretend it never happened. Plausable denial.

Now is probably not the time to lock that gun in the car, but then again, I wasnt there.

Last but not least, I was unaware that desertrat and desert rat were two different "foos", gotta pay better attention!

If your concealed weapon becomes exposed.. lets say from reaching high in the grocery store and the holster becomes visible.. and cops were called for a man with a gun call right... would the gun carrier actually get in trouble for anthing?

GUN CONTROL: The theory that a woman found dead in an alley, raped and strangled with her own pantyhose, is somehow morally superior to a woman explaining to police how her attacker got that fatal bullet wound.

I was told by my sheriff if it happened once no problems but if it keeps happening then they would pull your permit.

I have asked a guy who I grew up with this same question,He was with the local probation dept.and is now with the Sheriff Dept.He told Me that if He got that call and it turns out that the carrier was legit,He'd let the guy know how much trouble He caused and let Him go.In His opinionBrandishing is different that a "brief exposure"
YMMV

the whole "...rude angry or threatening manner..." thing is so nebulous...
had a guy in Frazier Park....neighbor is crazy... she saw him putting his guns in his car...called the cops and claimed 417...charges dropped eventually as was the restraining order...judge had the Sheriff pull the ccw... dude had to re-apply...stinks...
