Default Ammo Cans

Hey Guys... I need to pick up some surplus Ammo Cans (.50 and 7.62)

Ive tried all the old familiar places and have crapped out. I dont want to order them online and pay for shipping, and Ebay looks to be selling them in lots of 300 (which I DONT NEED.... I need a couple at most).

Anybody seen any locally in OC?

Army Navy store in Orange just off the Orange Circle. They have 50 Cal and 30 Cal for sure. Also some larger ones I think for grenade launcher rounds? I have been there twice in the last 6 weeks to buy some. (trying to organize my garage).

You have to go through them to find good shaped ones. I usually look through 2 or 3 to get a good one. (they have probably a 100 in stock) Check seals and make sure no rust on inside. Otherwise some scratches on outside are no big deal and you can wipe them down to clean them off and paint them if you want to get real trick.

I think they are about $5.99 to $6.99 for the .50 cal.

There is a guy who sells them off the back of the truck in Mojave... when the sheriff isn't chasing him off... you could like drive up 14 a few hours and then look for him ... or look for the pretty flashing lights indicating the cops is chasing him again... or go to the army/navy surplus store... but then again the price of gas being what it is.. you could ship from ridgecrest...

I know it won't help you any, but when I was taking my CCW training the other day, it was right next to the Miwall factory. They had over 100 pallets loaded with empty cans. I guess that means they are still getting components and loading ammo. I was told the last large show they went to, they sold two full truck loads in the first part of the first day. I wonder what their fathers day sale will be like this year.
