That's what I did, sort of.

The row on the right side of the area for rifles is 4 deep, so I put a 4 x 6 piece of wood cut to length, then use some 3M 77 sprayed on it, then some black felt. That raises up my three short rifles and leaves me 12 other slots for the longer ones.

(BTW, 60"? 5ft? Tall?)
