I used to carry the E2D, until my wife fell in love with it. My truck has a G2 in the center console at all times.
I need to ask around for a good price on a L4. Maybe somebody kows a guy?

I want to just buy a mess of G2s and put them everywhere; in each car, in toolboxes, stashed around the house, etc...

I know nothing about lights...but received a Pelican M1 LED as a gift. I carry it in my briefcase. It seems pretty bright...but I suspect it is very cheap compared to the ones being discussed.

Like Hammer, I too carry the 6P. Great light that performs well after years of use.

I am not afraid of the dark so I don't carry one.

The prices for these flashlights are really not bad.

I sometimes carry a Streamlight Stinger. It's not too large, it's rechargeable, and fairly bright. About the only thing I need to do is figure out why it isn't charging.

Actually, it seems that the wall wart failed and the charger unit also failed, thus exposing the flashlight/battery to 18.8 volt DC and not the 12v that the wart is supposed to put out and the charger unit also failed, as it's supposed to put out about 4.5 VDC. Hopefully the flashlight interals aren't also fried and all I need is a new battery... I have some more investigating to do.
