Oh, and I didn't see anywhere in that email he sent to you about Tannerite.
You didn't loose them, you just put them in a safe place. I like mine, the keyed ones and look forward to the performance of the new combo models.

I got my new metal combo lock boxes on Friday. Just had a chance to play with it. I don't have the old plastic one to compare to but the new one seems to work okay. The combo lock looks like die casted... not the best quality but it works. The combo wheels doesn't seem to turn all that smooth and the wheels don't click on every number so it is easy to move it in between 2 numbers. To chance the combo... there is a switch on the inside you have to move over and push up. I could not get this to move by hand and had to use a pair of pliers. Once I move the switch, I can change the combo.

Overall... the keyed lock boxes are still better quality. The mech. is smoother. But I lost my keys to both on keyed boxes (4 keys) so not using them anymore. For me... combo is still the way to go.

Default What to do?

California_When I use my original gun case (with two wraps of cable lock on handle)for my m-t Glock I was told I could carry ammo in the glovebox. Is that correct or should it be carried elsewhere? I am usually in a flatbed truck tending to business with no other place for ammo. What say you?

first off, welcome!

ammo can be anywhere in the vehicle EXCEPT inside the locked box where your unloaded gun is.

it's how you transport your firearm that matters most.

Default Thank you

Thank you AMS Mike and spc. We frequently carry firearms (pistols, rifles and shotguns) from one side of the county road to the other in the immediate vicinity of our ranch so we were concerned. Wishing you health, wealth and happiness for the New Year!

just put the clips in your hair.

you can keep the magazines anywhere else EXCEPT inside the locked COM box.

to keep it simple. The only thing in the locked COM box is your UNLOADED gun. That COM box should be locked and in your trunk of the car.

First off clips are for a hair.

If the handgun is unloaded and in a locked box. Like your COM lock box.

You can have loaded magazines anywhere in the car. Ammo anywhere in the car. One thing though........out of sight is VERY much preferred.
