I have the surfire c3 centurion. I loves this light. I have had it for a while now and it has seen some abuse. it has even been left on till the batteries ran out and still functioned flawless when the new juice was added. For my weapons light for my Glock 21 i just purchased the insight m3x. This light is awesome. I mainly got this for the nightstand gun and man im pleased. Bright as hell and im not fumbling around looking for the flashlight when i wake up. Got to watch the on/off lever if u want to hide under your pillow, they can get caught and turn your light on.......

I like the Surefire E1B standalone, and after a great amount of training have come to the conclusion that a weapons mounted systems work best on a shotguns or AR15 type units. (weapons mounted lights can giveaway your position if improperly used) But we all know about opinions.

I'd also like to add that while shopping make sure that if you choose a multi-brightness light, get the tactical version where the brightest level is first, and that it'll return to high on a second depression after a certain amount of time (1.5 seconds or so) rather than having to rotate through all levels before returning to high.

Also, if you plan to use a light as part of your self defense strategy, train with it. I have taken several low light, building clearing courses with Firearms Training Associates in Corona and would highly recommend those if you can.

Youtube has several Surefire videos that may give you a better perspective on your purchase as well.

I've heard just about everything now. You really gotta have some serious free time to be a member of a paracord tying forum.

Default Fenix LD20 AA

I had a Blackhawk Night-Ops Sentinel PL1-AA LED Blackhawk Night-Ops Sentinel PL1-AA LED which I found to be Ok, just too heavy and it had switch reliability issues.
I replaced it with the Fenix LD20 Amazon.com: Fenix LD20 Led Flashlight: Sports & Outdoors and I have not needed another EDC light so far. (and believe me, I have been very tempted by newer lights, but if it aint broke, don't fix it...right?...)
The Fenix has been so good I have not had one single problem in over three years of EDC and VERY frequent and rough use. It comes with several useful accessories, a comparitively low price, and runs on AA batts which can be found anywhere.
I bought a Streamlight TLR-3 for my XD9 just to have the combo. I like the light but after I got it I realized that I don't have a holster that'll hold it and even if I get one, I would not enjoy carrying concealed with that kind of rig, the XD9 service model is barely concealable as it is!!!

I just picked up a Surefire P6X Pro at sports chalet the other day! Awesome torch. They were selling them in Valencia for $79.99. I bought the display model at 10%, got my military discount of 10%, and applied for a sports chalet card for ANOTHER 10% off. Got out the door with battery's for about $67!!!!!

I have a Pelican 1910 that runs on a AAA battery and is only about 3 inches long and fits in my pocket and has a LED bulb. Ive had it for a couple years and its been a great everyday light that has not failed me when I needed it.

I am a little bit of a flashlight nut. Growing up on the farm in pitch black darkness made a flashlight a little boys best friend!

I have a Surefire X300 Ultra for my pistol and a Surefire Fury for my handheld flashlight. Both 500 lumens and very bright light.

It seems really hard to choose the right tactical flashlight for me too. Many companies produce various LED tactical flashlights and sometimes we think what light is better or even the best. Recently I've purchased Armytek flashlight -Armytek Predator 670 lumens and happy that this light met all my needs. The price is not high, about $110. It's good for this well made and multifunctional light. Variety of modes attracts me because I can choose any mode I need. Also I use it for home, walking and my car.
P.S. Free worldwide shipping
