Default Kimber Grips

I noticed in the paperwork with the Kimber Ultra CDP II an offer for Grips...

Something like: "Fill out this form, send it in (along with a check for $35.00), and we'll send you a set of custome Rosewood Grips."

Has anyone seen 'em? Are they worth getting?

Hello Rickr96, with all the Kimbers that I have purchased . . . I am sorry to say that I never used the coupon.
I was always the impatient type and bought new grips at the store so I could actually make sure that the color coordination with my pistol was correct.
It is after all a fashion statement!!
I think you should be a trailblazer/pointman/pathfinder and order these grips for ME, before some other member asks you the same question. Com'on you know you're courious what my new grips would look like!!!

I need to see if i can find mine. I've been wearing my Ultra in the ditch, banging it around getting on the tractor, etc. The grips are starting to look like it is the tool it was meant to be. I may need to have a set to put on for Sunday go to meetin'. :-)

I hate to admit it, but i actually liked all the grips that came from the factory, I am now especially fond of the black rubber grips, they do not rub your skin raw, and they are low maintenance--although I think they look ugly, they are functional.

IIRC the ultra CDP comes with rosewood grips already???

SB,

Yeah - they come with what i thought were beautiful rosewood grips, that's why i haven't bought the ones with the coupon. i'm starting to beat mine up a bit now though. Nothing terrible, don't know that you could even see it in a picture, but _I_ know.

If the Rosewood grips are getting beat up, you might want to check out the Kimber rubber grips, i really like them, almost indestructable... cheap too. $16.95 --they feel very comfortable, good grip characteristics.

Kimber America Store > Kimber checkered rubber grips, compact

Seal:
Our the grips on the coupon the same that come with gun?
I don't know... but the reason I didn't just go ahead and order is because they sure look the same...

If they are the same grips why bother? I'm sure the grips on it wil be fine for a long, long time... and why set on a pair of new grips may never need?

Still... it's been a week or so since I spent any money on guns or equipment and I'm starting to go into withdrawl... hands shaking... increased heart rate....
I...... MUST.... BUY....SOMETHING....SOON!!!!

(Sigh...)

Thanks, Seal.
I used one of the links to order a 4 gun Range Bag and a couple extra mags for my Browning Hi-Power.

I feel much better now!

For awhile there I nearly lost it...
