What I'd really like to carry is one of these

But it doesn't look like that's going to happen. (See below)

Picked it up for around $48 at Botach.com
I carry this model also.. Available over the counter at Walmart.

I have a tanto/serrated combo blade S&W Extreme Ops, I also have a firefighter's rescue folder with a glass window buster

carbide tip at he end of the handle, additionally it has a seat belt cutter, by United Cutlery for Harley Davidson.

The only problem I have with Kershaws is that on everyone one I've owned, the pocket clip eventually bends out and doesn't hold the knife in my pocket. It's like the metal they use for the clips doesn't have a very high tensil strength.

Most times it is the Kershaw Ken Onion for me, too. I also have two of the S&W Extreme Ops, oe is the Extreme Black Ops model, real nice for the money.

Got a few others, but a couple are limited edition type collectors stuff.

I also have the Gerber LMF II, yeah, I know not really a "carry" knife, but sure is a bitchin' knife.

Good question K-Dog.v3. I think it's the same as a folder but don't quote me on it! I wear my La Griffe with dresses & skirts at the range (yes, I have been known to show up after work still in my work clothes) so it's never been a concern to me.

This is the only thing I can find related to fixed blade. A fixed blade seem to fall in the definition of a dirk or dagger.

I'm usually carrying either my SOG:

or a Benchmade (can't find a picture). Both with pocket clips.

+1

The Endura with serations. For about the same amount of time as well. Nothing like a good knife.

One of the forum members does a bit of close quarters combat practice. I know he wouldn't promote it here himself, so I will let you know about it. He has started a new sales website you can poke around (no pun intended).
