Default Kimber has a new CA-DOJ Approved gun.

The whole Covert series is going to be added to the DOJ
list, this is not finalized yet but it should be in the next few days.

I have added a link to the Covert Family.

Covert:
Kimber - Continuing The Legacy

It DOES NOT have a magazine disconnect or a trigger safety. Details to follow as I get them. Yes, I would like to know How and Why too.

"Because the internal design is the same as some pistols that are currently certified for Kimber the Covert series are grandfathered in so to speak. The Covert series can not be ordered without the laser grips; however the laser grips could be sold as an accessory with little trouble."

Is this because they are still called the "Ultra", "Carry", and "Pro" and they already have those models?

I like the new colors they have on them. For some reason the digital camo looks a lot better IMO on the O Frames than they do on the tupperware guns.

The Digital Camo look for most people will be a love it or hate type deal. I happen to love it and it might be my first Kimber! I do wish you could order them without the laser grips however. But as CCWI said it would be easy to sell them to other Kimber model owners wanting Digital Camo and factory laser grips.

CCWI are there similar color/patterned non laser grips to find out there?

I have plenty of Evil Black choices. Looking for something I can carry when I am feeling slightly less than Evil!
