Default My Choices

A Kimber Compact CDP II is my choice to carry most of the time.

I have a S&W 4013 as my secondary carry, but I will likely change it at some point in the near future to a Kimber Ultra CDP II.

For those times when concealment is a major issue, it's the S&W 640-1 I carry.

That Kimber is very nice,

whats the reason for wanting to demote the S&W?

LAH, this is one of those things where you have to try it to understand, no offense meant to anyone. The Ultra CDP II is one incredible compact gun. About 8 or more of the Founding Members here have one.

That said, I have never shot More Cowbell's S&W, so to be fair, right now my opinion i spurely subjective, and only based upon comparisons to HG's I have shot that were semi-auto.

I want to maintain identical functions on the autoloaders I carry so that any training I take applies across weapons. The 4013 is very nice, pretty light, 8+1 capacity, but the decocker is UP, whereas the Kimber safety is DOWN.

Understood.

I was just curious if it was a performance based decision or not.

I'm carrying in the following order:

Kimber Ultra CDP II
S&W 360PD
Colt Commander

I'm thinking of replacing the commander w/ a new Kimber... The commander is just too heavy. The Ultra is a daily carry, the 360 is for those occasions when I can't keep my shirt tail out.

El Dorado hasn't gotten back to me yet since I was fingerprinted so I carry NOTHING. I have to walk around pointing my finger in my pocket and pretending its a gun.

But when/if my permit comes

Given my present county of residence, it's not very likely that I can get a CCW... however, if I do get a CCW, I'd carry either a GLOCK 23 or a Springfield 1911A-1 (Gov't size).

I'm in the same boat as the squirrel, but a different county. I have three Kimbers and two ParaOrds that would love to go on field trips. If it ever gets to that point, they will have to fight it out over who is on the A-team.

Default HK All the way

I only own H&K USPs.

I have 1 of every caliber. They are all variant 1 so the controls are identical. I have 2 compacts and two full size.

Daily carry will probably be the compact 9mm or compact 45 I have not decided. Holster is the same for both so I can alternate as needed.

The 45 is 8+1 and the 9mm is 10 +1
